Only use payment channels officially provided or confirmed by MerSkills.

Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances, the stage of the programme and the applicable programme terms.

Please review the Refund & Cancellation Policy before making payment.

What happens if I pay twice accidentally?

Contact MerSkills as soon as possible and provide the relevant transaction details.

We will investigate the duplicate payment and determine the appropriate resolution.

Learning and Student Accounts

How will I access my course after payment?

After admission and confirmation of the applicable enrolment requirements, learners will receive instructions for accessing the relevant learning environment.

Depending on the programme, this may include access to a learning management system or another designated online learning platform.

Will I need a separate student account?

Where a programme uses a dedicated learning management system, learners may be required to create or use an account on that platform.

The exact account and access arrangements will be communicated after enrolment.

What device do I need for online learning?

A computer, laptop, tablet or suitable smartphone may be sufficient for some learning activities.

However, a computer or laptop is recommended for programmes involving extensive writing, software applications, practical projects, assessments or specialised digital tools.

Learners are responsible for having a suitable device and reliable internet connection unless otherwise stated by the programme.

What happens if I have an internet connection problem?

Learners should contact MerSkills as soon as reasonably possible if a technical problem significantly affects their participation.

Where appropriate, instructors or programme administrators may provide guidance on available options.

Learners should not wait until a deadline has passed before reporting a serious technical difficulty.

Late submissions may be subject to the programme’s academic and assessment policies.

Can I use artificial intelligence for my coursework?

The use of artificial intelligence depends on the programme and assessment requirements.

Some learning activities may permit responsible AI assistance, while particular assessments may restrict or prohibit its use.

Learners remain responsible for the accuracy, originality and integrity of submitted work.

Please refer to the Academic Integrity Policy and your programme-specific instructions.

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is presenting another person’s words, ideas, work or intellectual contribution as your own without appropriate acknowledgement.

Where digital certificates are provided, learners will receive instructions for accessing them.

Can employers or other organisations verify my certificate?

MerSkills may provide appropriate certificate or credential verification services.

Where verification is requested, we may require sufficient information to confirm the authenticity of the credential while respecting applicable privacy requirements.

Is a MerSkills certificate a university degree?

No.

MerSkills professional certificates and credentials should not be represented as university degrees, government licences or qualifications issued by another institution.

The nature and level of each credential are described on the relevant programme page.

Are MerSkills programmes accredited?

The accreditation, approval, endorsement or recognition status of a programme will be stated specifically where applicable.

MerSkills does not represent a programme as accredited, approved or recognised by a government authority, university, professional body or other external organisation unless that status has been formally established.

Learners should always review the specific recognition information provided for their programme.

International Learners

Can I pay from outside Nigeria?

International payment options may be available depending on the programme and payment provider.

The available options will be communicated during the application or enrolment process.

Will my certificate be valid in another country?

Learners are responsible for determining whether a particular credential meets the requirements of their intended use.

MerSkills cannot guarantee that a certificate will be accepted by every organisation or jurisdiction.

Learner Conduct

What behaviour is expected from MerSkills learners?

Learners are expected to demonstrate respect, professionalism, integrity and responsible digital behaviour.
