Admission Requirements

Depending on the programme, applicants may be required to have:

- Access to a suitable internet-enabled device;
- An active email address;
- The ability to communicate effectively in the language of instruction; or

Where a programme does not require prior qualifications or professional experience, this will be stated on the relevant programme page.

Applying to MerSkills involves a simple process.

4. Application Review
MerSkills will review your application against the requirements of the selected programme.
Depending on the programme, we may request additional information or clarification before making an admission decision.
5. Receive Your Admission Decision
Successful applicants will receive admission or enrolment instructions through the contact details provided in their application.
Applicants should regularly check their email and other contact channels provided during the application process.
6. Confirm Your Enrolment
Where applicable, admitted learners must complete the required enrolment and tuition-payment arrangements within the stated timeframe.
Your admission communication will provide the relevant instructions.
7. Begin Your Programme
Once your enrolment has been confirmed, you will receive information about accessing the relevant learning environment, programme materials, orientation information and start date.
Application Does Not Guarantee Admission
Submitting an application does not automatically guarantee admission.
Applications are subject to the applicable programme requirements and review process.
MerSkills reserves the right to request additional information or decline an application where an applicant does not meet the requirements or where the information provided cannot be verified.
Accurate Application Information
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that information submitted during the application process is accurate and complete.
Providing false, misleading or fraudulent information may result in:
- Rejection of an application;
- Withdrawal of admission;
- Cancellation of enrolment;
- Withdrawal of academic privileges; or

Tuition and Admission

Where tuition payment is required to confirm enrolment, the applicable payment deadline and payment instructions will be communicated by MerSkills.
Applicants should use only official MerSkills payment channels.
MerSkills is not responsible for payments made to individuals or channels that have not been officially authorised by the Academy.
Payment Plans
Some programmes may offer payment by instalments.
Where a payment plan is available, the applicable schedule and requirements will be communicated to the applicant or admitted learner.
Failure to meet an agreed payment deadline may affect access to programme services.

International Applicants
MerSkills welcomes eligible learners from outside Nigeria.
International applicants can apply for programmes that are available to international learners and should review the specific programme requirements before applying.
International learners are responsible for ensuring that they have:
- Reliable internet access;
- An appropriate internet-enabled device;
- The ability to participate in the programme;
- Any required qualifications;
- A suitable method of payment; and
- Any other requirements specified for the programme.
MerSkills does not guarantee that a MerSkills certificate will satisfy the requirements of every employer, institution, regulator or professional body in another country.
Applicants should independently confirm any external recognition requirements relevant to their intended use of a qualification.
Online Learning Requirements
Because MerSkills programmes are primarily delivered online, learners should have access to:
- A reliable internet connection;
- A suitable computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone;
- A functioning email address;
- A modern web browser; and
- Any additional software or digital tools specified for the programme.
A computer or laptop may be recommended for programmes involving extensive writing, specialised software, programming, design, data analysis or other practical activities.
Programme-specific technical requirements will be communicated where applicable.

MerSkills will use the contact information provided in your application to communicate with you about your application and admission.
Applicants should ensure that:

MerSkills is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect contact information supplied by an applicant.
Deferral and Transfer
In some circumstances, an admitted learner may request to defer their programme to a future cohort or transfer to another programme.
Such requests are subject to programme availability and the applicable academic and administrative requirements.
Deferral or transfer is not automatic and may be subject to additional terms.
Withdrawal After Admission
If an admitted learner decides not to continue with a programme, they should notify MerSkills as soon as possible.
Refund eligibility will be determined according to the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy and any programme-specific terms.
Failure to participate in a programme without notifying MerSkills does not automatically constitute a formal withdrawal.
Admission and Academic Integrity
All applicants and learners are expected to provide truthful information and maintain academic integrity throughout their relationship with MerSkills.
Admission may be withdrawn where an applicant is found to have submitted fraudulent documents, misrepresented qualifications or provided materially false information.
Learners are also expected to comply with the Academic Integrity Policy after enrolment.
